Having A Degree but End Up Working In Retail Line? Please.

Ok. This is the "dilemma" (well, not really for me) for some of the nutritionists/sales associate whom with a bachelor degree might have. People (especially relatives) will always ask the same question, like:

  • Why are you working here?
  • You have a degree but you end up working at a shop?
  • This is not permanent right?
  • How much they're paying you? RM 800/month?
  • Don't you want to find a better job?
And many more stupid questions. But I never actually being bothered by this silly questions because I know what I do and I'm happy doing it. Can't really blame them since they're actually do not have the clear idea of what we do and how much we get paid. I super love my job right now.

10 REASONS WHY I LOVE MY JOB
1) Working is only for workplace. No need to bring my work home. Home is for family and for me to relax.

2) The salary is worth my job. Enough to pay the bills, for my savings and for me to have fun. And since I'm a working out, I can get cheaper sports nutrition supplements with guaranteed quality!!

3) HAVE A LIFE. I have time to spend time with my friends, working out and enjoy a movie marathon in my laptop.

4) Off-work during weekdays. Perfect. Because I hate going on a date or hanging out with my peeps during weekend because of the crowd.

5) Working and learning at the same time. I learn soooo many new things about nutrition that I never knew before.

6) Meeting many kind of people. My customers is from various backgrounds and knowing their stories is so interesting. I also learn a lot from them.

7) Working time. Since I'm still single and unmarried, working shift hours and 8 hours/day is perfect for me. Waking up late is my favourite part. HEHEHE

8) My colleagues are awesome. Love them.

9) Learning how people surprisingly can be arrogant and stupid at the same time. Thinking they know it all but actually what they're saying is a total crap.

10) Learning how few of the rich people can be so 'RIAK' and look down to people. I thought this kind of people only exist in the Telenovela or Sinetron, but actually they do exist in real life. They treat people like they are so powerful with the tons of money but they forgot the fact that in the afterlife, everyone is the same and their money won't bring them any good.

So people, you may look down to us as low as you want, but one thing, looking down at people who are working hard to make a living in a halal way is as low as a human can be. Peace y'all.

Cholesterol? Is it THAT bad?

A cousin of mine gonna go through a brain surgery tomorrow because of brain hemorrhage. I am super worried. Inshaa-Allah everthing is gonna be fine. Amiin...

Well, brain hemorrhage is when there are bleeding on the brain due to the leaking of the blood vessels in the brain. The bleeding may harm the brain because it may kill the brain cells. This is due to the swelling of the blood vessels because of the plaque in the vessels narrowing the bloodstream passage and cause high blood pressure or hypertension and swelling of the blood vessels.

The plaque is formed from the excessive cholesterol in the body. Remember, cholesterol is not only from our diet but our body also produces cholesterol. This is why taking care of you food habit and life style is really important. Please exercise regularly and it's better to take additional supplements in our diet, especially Omega-3 and antioxidants which may helps in reducing the cholesterol level in our body.

The cholesterol plaque is formed when free radicals are combined whit the bad cholesterol or low-density lipoprotein (LDL). Antioxidants such as French pine bark, Vitamin C and OPCs helps in neutralizing the free radical in the body and preventing the plaque formation because French pine bark helps the body to utilize vitamin C 20 times better before vitamin C is flushed out from the body because it is a water-soluble vitamin  50 times better utilization of vitamin E in the body. Therefore MORE AND MORE free radicals can be neutralize! Masquelier's French Pine Bark is a very good antioxidants supplements since it combines with grapeseed extract which are high in OPCs.

Omega-3 may decrease high triglyceride levels and increase the level of the good cholesterol or high-density lipoprotein (HDL). HDL may act like a boat to LDL where HDL may bring out the LDL out from tour body. Fish oil supplements is a good idea but before you purchase any fish oil supplements, make sure that it is molecularly distilled to prevent any mercury or PCBs toxicity. This Double Strength Fish Oil from GNC LiveWell is a very good example of Omega-3 supplements and REALLY worth your money.

Please, don't be stingy to invest for your health. Go for medical checkup, eat healthy, and frequent physical activity. What is the use of you Prada bag, your million dollar mansion or your expensive Lamborghini if your body is not in a good condition right? Peace y'all~

THE FEELING OF FINALLY FEELING WHAT IT FEELS TO BE A GROWN UP

I've been working for almost 5 months now, I mean real works which actually pay the bills, and so far I'm loving my works, at least for now.  Well, it involves shift working hours and once a week off-day and I'm totally fine with that, why, well...

  1. Used to shift working hours since I worked in a fast food restaurant before
  2. No need to wake up as early as 7am, since my morning shift starts at 10am
  3. I prefer going out with my bf on weekdays since less crowds in the mall or a the cinema
And I forgot to tell what actually I'm doing for a living, well, I'm a Nutritionist and GNC LiveWell, the retail shop that sells health and sports supplement :)

Having a steady job means that commitments is more for me, both work and family commitment. Since my second salary, I start to pay for the car, internet bills, etc. that cost me around 1k/month. But I don't really mind because that's what grown ups do.

But what bothers me so much is the how I'm gonna get married part. Since my sister is married and lives with us, it terrifies me. The pressure is at a whole new level, until right now I plan not to get married and just take care of my niece until I die, at least for now. And one other things that really makes me go URGGHHH is whenever le mom mad at bro-in-law, she's gonna get mad at me, and i don't like it. For god sake, I just want a calm and peaceful holiday. This is why I prefer to go out ad hangout with my friends during my offday.

Being a grown-up as a single lady is awesome, but the idea of being a grown-up as married person.... na, not for now.
